Airtel launches 4G service in Aizawl


NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel Friday launched 4G services in Aizwal in Mizoram.

Airtel 4G is available to customers across a range of smart devices including mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles, the telco said in a statement.

“We are launching our 4G services in Aizwal today, looking at the demand for high speed data in the region. Customer in Aizwal will now enjoy Airtel 4G speed across a range of devices,” Saurabh Goel, CEO – Assam and North East, Bharti Airtel said.

With first 4G network in Kolkata in April 2012, Airtel recently announced rollout of 4G services across 296 cities.
