HTC has recently sent out media invites for a launch event in New Delhi, which is slated for November 25. The invite is more like a teaser with a charcoal background and it says, ‘Save the Date 25.11.2015.’ According to numerous speculations amongst the experts, this hints at the launch of HTC One A9 and the Desire 828 smartphones in India.
Looking at the specialisation of HTC One A9, Cher Wang, the co-found and chairperson of HTC Corporation had earlier said that this device would be the Taiwanese company’s ‘Hero smartphone.’ The One A9, which appears to be similar to Apple iPhone 6, is a mid-end premium smartphone. There has been a lot of criticism against HTC for copying the design; the Taiwan-based tech firm has strongly defended its designers as it doesn’t regard this as copying.
HTC One A9 is equipped with a 5-inch 1080p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, Snapdragon 617 64-bit octa-core chipset. While the 16GB variant of the One A9 consists of 2GB RAM, the 32GB variant comes with 3GB RAM.
On the battery front, this device includes 2,150mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support as well as a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button. Moving on to the connectivity options, it consists of 4G support, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth and GPS, and on the software front. HTC One A9 it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow wrapped under the Sense UI. This device, which comes with a microSD card slot, carries a 13MP rear camera with OIS, 4-Ultrapixel selfie camera.
On the other hand, HTC Desire 828 is the first smartphone comes a 5.5-inch 1080p display, MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor, 2GB RAM as well as 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card.
It comes with a 2,800mAh battery and connectivity options like dual SIM cards, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. Moving on the software aspect of HTC Desire 828, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop wrapped under Sense 6 UI.
The Desire 828 consists of optical image stabilization capabilities. It carries a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an UltraPixel camera for selfie lovers.
