Micromax has soft-launched yet another 4G smartphone this month called the Canvas Pace 4G. The smartphone is an entry-level device and packs in the basics with its 4G radios being the highlight.
Indeed, this is the third smartphone that Micromax has announced this month after the Canvas Xpress 4G and the recently announced Canvas Amaze (we guess it will run out of names if it continues at this pace).
The Micromax Canvas Pace 4G packs in 5 inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display on the front. Inside, we get a 1.1 GHz, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 32 via a micro SD card.
The camera department includes a 5 MP autofocus unit on the back accompanied by an LED flash and a 2 MP unit up front for selfies. The handset boots to Android 5.0 Lollipop and packs in the usual connectivity options including a dual SIM set up for 4G and 3G bands. All of the above is powered by a 2500 mAh battery.
Its closest competitor is indeed the Yu Yuphoria and the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime. The Micromax Canvas Pace 4G is currently retailing for Rs 6821 on Ebay and on the company’sofficial website only in the black variant.
