Moto X Play gets a further price cut in India

Motorola has further slashed the price of its mid-range smartphone Moto X Play in India. The smartphone which was available for Rs 16,999 for the base 16GB ​under the company’s festive offer will now be available for Rs 16,499. The Lenovo-owned company announced this on Twitter. Other than the discount, Motorola is also offering additional 10% cashback for transactions made using select cards. The offer, however, is valid only till today.

Moto X Play, which was launched in India in September, has a 5.5-inch screen with Full HD resolution. The key highlights of the smartphone are its 3,630mAh battery and 21MP camera, which Motorola says is among the fastest in the industry.

Moto X Play smartphone, which has nano-coating to protect it from water damage, runs on stock Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). It is powered by the 1.7GHz octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB RAM. The smartphone offers dual-sim support, 5MP front camera, 32GB built-in storage and has a hybrid microSD+sim slot.
 The smartphone is scheduled to get the latest version of Android operating system Marshmallow.

Motorola had recently announced discounts on select handsets in India including Moto X Play. The offer vaild during December 21, 22, and 23 on purchases made through the Flipkart app was applicaple on Moto X Style, the Moto X Play, Moto G, and the Moto E 3G and 4G models.
