Ahead of its launch, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has been leaked online along with its specs and price tag.
Xiaomi added that its two new phablets will ship with MIUI 6, but will receive the new MIUI 7 update “at a later date”.
In addition to this particular Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, sources in China say that the company will unveil a second variant which will be slightly more powerful, boasting 3 GB of RAM. It flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display, and Xiaomi claims that for nighttime reading, its minimum brightness has been reduced almost 10-times.
Under the hood, the handset is said to pack a 64-bit MediaTek (MT6795) octa-core processor coupled with2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.
Recently, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 was found listed on the Oppomart retailer site.
On Monday, Xiaomi India announced the launch premiere of MIUI 7, which would be on August 19 in New Delhi via atweet: “MIUI7 is here!”
The only difference between the Redmi Note 2 3G and 4G variants is the LTE connectivity support, and the rest of the specifications are the same.
Xiaomi just dropped a massive bomb that is set to disrupt the Chinese phone market in a major way: the Redmi Note 2. The device is also expected to come with 13-megapixel primary rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper for the selfies. The third model, the Redmi Note 2 Prime, will have a 2.2GHz Helio X10 processor, with 32GB internal storage and will have 4G dual SIMs for RMB 999 (Approximately Rs 10,100).
