Trucoin, a service that allows users to buy Bitcoin with debit or credit cards, has expanded its business to six more states in the US.
The new states that have access to Trucoin are as follows:
These six new states brings Trucoin’s total reach to 31 states in the US. Due to this expansion, Trucoin’s services are now available to approximately 60% of the US population.
Trucoin is unique in that it refrains from opening shop in a new state until it becomes totally compliant with that state’s financial laws and receives authorization from the state to operate within its borders. Thus, while Trucoin’s growth has been slower compared to other exchange services, it is unlikely that users will run into regulatory issues when purchasing Bitcoin.
This company participated in the St. Petersburg Bitcoin Bowl in December of 2014, which was sponsored by Bitpay. Trucoin installed several Bitcoin ATMs in the stadium, giving Bowl attendees easy access to Bitcoin.
