WhatsApp for Web has been around for some time now, but there hasn’t been any significant update. WhatsApp for Web has now been updated to include some mobile-like features including more control over chats and group conversations.
Users will now see more options in the browser version too. Firstly, you can edit your profile photo and status message. Some UI tweaks have also been included in this update.
The Settings option will now show overflow for chats, allowing users to delete and archive chats. In addition, users can also archive, mute and exit group chats.
According to some screenshots by AndroidPolice, WhatsApp for Web also gets keyboard shortcuts for each of the actions. However, they appear and reappear sporadically, adds the report. This could mean, WhatsApp is still working on the feature.
The contacts and group information panes have also been slightly tweaked. One will find big red buttons to delete chats or exit groups. Unlike your phone, you don’t need wait for an update or manually enable it under Settings, they are simply server triggered.
