After several hints about the launch date and availability about the anticipated Xiaomi Mi 5, and also a confirmation about the inclusion of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, Xiaomi has finally revealed the launch date of its flagship handset – February 24.
Xiaomi Co-Founder and Senior Vice President Liwan Jiang on Friday revealed the launch date on his Weibo account. More details about the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be revealed on Tuesday on the company’s MIUI forum. The forum post also includes some images showing the Mi 5 briefing event in China.

Jiang has not specified whether the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be available only in China after one week of the launch, but that seems likely following past launches.
