Xiaomi’s most expensive smartphone in India yet goes on sale


Xiaomi Mi 5, the most expensive smartphone byChinese smartphone maker at Rs 24,999, goes on sale today. Xiaomi on its official website Mi India will host flash sales at 11:00 am, 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

Successor to Xiaomi Mi 4, Xiaomi Mi 5 flaunts a 5.15-inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. The device comes in 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage options.

The connectivity options of the device include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, USB Type C. There’s 3,000 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge support.

 The company recently also launched its budget smartphone Redmi Note 3 with a price tag of Rs 9,999. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor paired with 2GB/3GB of RAM. It comes with hybrid dual sim + microSD card slot and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
